XX-06-1992

Now here's a Kapotte Muziek cassette which I definetely didn't record myself. RRRon from RRRecords did a whole bunch of these tapes, in which he rcycles the music of one artist and releases them on a cassette from his store: one of those pre-recorded tapes. He send me a few, and I didn't mind. Download

23-06-2000

If I remember this was supposed on the roof of the building used by visual artists in Rotterdm, overlooking the red light district. But it was a windy and somewhat cold day so we played downstairs. It was also a rare occasion that Roel used his laptop. Not that we can check any of this: it wasn't recorded. Next week, July 1st, we'll play Rotterdam again! Players were: Peter Duimelinks, Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard. Gig 64 23-06-2000 Kunst & Complex, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

So, then we arrive at last at the very only concert of Kapotte Muziek which I didn't play. I was attending someone's wedding that day, so it was down to Peter and Roel to play this concert, which was curiously enough quite long and quite spacious. Players were: Peter Duimelinks and Roel Meelkop. Gig 36 21-06-1996 Lokaal 01, Breda, The Netherlands

Kapotte Muziek played in Venlo, for many years the place where Roel Meelkop grew up. In an attempt to revive some stage for new music, a brave attempt was made and this night Kapotte Muziek played, then Staplerfahrer and then Zebra. A Sunday afternoon concert consisted of Roel Meelkop solo and me solo. A long weekend. Not many showed up, unfortunately, but we played well, we thought. A recording by Mike Kramer. Players were: Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard. Gig 112 19-06-2010 Soundlab Baupltz, Venlo, The Netherlands.

This one was part of a big Detroit festival with Scanner, Eq8tor, Charlemagne Palestine, Destroy All Monsters. We played a live soundtrack to an old Ford film. This concert was released on the 'Praag/Rotterdam' CD on Pac Rec and still available. So if you don't have that and like this blog and the live recordings, then buy one! Players were: Peter Duimelinks, Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard. Gig 56 12-06-1998 Nighttown, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

A bigger festival, spanning a few days, but I forgot who played, except for Noetinger/Marchetti, who were great. I have no recording of this concert. Players were: Peter Duimelinks, Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard. Gig 86 12-06-2003 Musique Innovatrices, St.Etienne, France
