10-06-2000

The day after Munich we drove back up north to Wurzburg where we played in a location I no longer remember the name of. I know, I could ask Rigobert Dittmann, the man behind the excellent Bad Alchemy magazine (for whom I did a 3"CDR earlier this year), but it was a small private environment. Another excellent concert, as I recall, but also one that was not recorded, not by us, that is. Players were: Peter Duimelinks and Frans de Waard. Gig 63 10-06-2000 Wurzburg, Germany

Here again I don't know why Roel didn't join on this long weekend in the southern part of Germany, so Peter had to do all the driving myself. First a long drive to Munich where we played at B12. 'Support' act was Rumpeln, with whom we played also a collaborative piece. There were also great visuals in the background. And now the sad part: it wasn't recorded, at least not by us. Which is a pity, since Peter and I recall this a fine concert. Players were: Peter Duimelinks and Frans de Waard. Gig 62 09-06-2000 B12, Munchen, Germany

The second major release from this anniversary is the 10 cassette by Blossoming Noise. Its out now, and I have copies in my hand. It looks, well, brilliant. The best birthday gift a man could get. A wooden box which looks like a small wine box, with ten tapes, insert and slide (numbered, signed) make a totally awesome item. There is a great T-shirt with the redbol logo, in silver, obviously. I have some boxes for sale, contact me if you want one. If you are in the USA you may want to order from Blossoming Noise directly. Graham: many thanks!

Alright, I am a bit late with this entry, but the weather was so nice I was hardly at ome during the weekend. Audioscoop was, or perhaps is, a series of events organised by Kim Laughs from Maastricht. I think we played the same afternoon as Das Synthetische Mischgewebe. Later on a 2LP set was released with various edits from these concerts. I did a Freiband concert at the presentation on the concert, for which I used sounds of the entire 2LP, called 'Capture' (along the idea of Captured Music by Selektion). I still have a copies of the 2LP for sale, just contact me. Players were: Peter Duimelinks, Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard. Gig 93 05-06-2005 Audioscoop 3, Maastricht, The Netherlands

Another day of workshops. This time in Berlin, organised by Geert-Jan Hobijn of Staalplaat for Podewil. I think BMB con also did one, but on a different day. We stayed in Berlin and the next day played a Goem concert and we were supposed to another Kapotte Muziek concert in a squat. It turned out they had no sound system and the room was so small, it could not fit the amount of people to pay our price. The Podewil workshop was great fun though. The zip includes the concert we played with participants as well as the sounds they recorded. Players were: Peter Duimelinks, Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard. This day was the end of a week long stay in Montreal. We played this years edition of Mutek on the opening as Goem (where someone in the audience shouted 'what's the viking on the right doing?' - hum) and on the closing day we did a workshop with people as Kapotte Muziek. In today's zip you'll find the concert with the participants, our concert and sounds participants recorded. Players were: Peter Duimelinks, Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard. June the 1st 1987 at Parkzicht, Rotterdam, Holland. The second copy-art installation was planned for that evening (party of the Art-Academie of Rotterdam), but as we were not allowed to use any paper in the building, and outside the wind was to hard, this installation did not really appeared. Music that was made for this evening is later on used as Frag/Ele/Ment (Kapot Produkt 00Q). Kapotte Muziek did join however Thu 20 (also performing that night) on vocals in the last piece they played that evening (this piece is released on Harsh Ears Now!! 5 by Midas Tapes).
